For now, All Romney did was motivate Trump’s Base, Fall Campaign will be Different Story

One day the American people would love to know the back story of how the relationship deteriorated to this.

In Salt Lake City, Mitt Romney tour into Trump, as a “fake,” a “con man,” and added:

“Here’s what I know, Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing the American public for suckers.” Romney said.

Four years ago, then Republican nominee Mitt Romney had a million dollar smile on his face as he picked up Donald Trump’s endorsement.

Four short years later, the man that nominated Romney at the convention, NJ Governor Chris Christie now stands behind Donald Trump.

Equally as tough, Trump for his part fought back, declaring if he told Romney to get “on his knees” for Trump’s endorsement, Romney would have done it.

Romney may not realize it, but all he did was motivate Trump supporters, angry with the establishment to turn out even more and vote for Trump.

However, the impact on the general election is a completely different story. Romney’s comments effective immediately, will force the media to take a harder look at Trump, and Romney’s attack will sway independent voters in the fall campaign.

Romney did the heavy lift, and dirty work for Hillary.

Meanwhile on a personal level as it relates to young people, I continue to say: "Each One Teach One."
